Perform Incoming Quality Inspection on incoming materials to be used on the manufacturing line.
Oversee logistics for Incoming materials.
Provide onsite Quality Support for automation
Verify material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
Review material specifications and drawings and identify Critical to Quality parameters that will need to be verified (inspection or PPAP process with suppliers) on incoming material.
Create incoming inspection checklists on appropriate parts.
Create AQL based sampling for incoming parts.
Create Process Flow diagram of process.
Work on preparing a PFMEA on the process.
Prepare Control Plan to address high RPN areas identified in the PFMEA.
Identify gaps and align Control Plan with Customer's Control Plan
Oversee logistics of incoming parts during development phase.
With the use of the previously defined Control Plan, create Work Instructions for inspections.
Develop and create SPC plan on critical to quality process parameters and accompanying report structure.
Develop and create Cpk plan on critical to quality process parameters and accompanying report structure.
During Make process and development, support development team as needed (DOE, analysis, etc).
Baseline Critical to Quality elements from the Factory Acceptance Test, FAT, run.
Compare the Baseline (Indianapolis) to SLC Site Acceptance Test, SAT run to ensure that SLC has received equivalent or better results (including mean comparisons and standard deviation comparisons).
Be SME for Quality on Automation line.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential hiring criteria:
Minimum Diploma in Quality or a related discipline. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience.
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Quality related role.
Computer literate with intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
A can do work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
